While we Londoners are beginning to complain about the last few days of Indian summer, the Crazy Albertans can’t wait for old man winter to bring them their seven months of natural winter.

At the Canmore Nordic Centre just outside of Banff National Park, they store snow in a huge pit all summer, and then dump it to form a training track for the Canadian national X_C ski team, as well as others from around the world.  It is also open to the general public.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
