The weather is looking iffy for our monthly open house at Cronyn Observatory tonight, but still be sure to stop by for our public lecture! PhD student Tyler Desjardins will give a talk entitled “Cosmic Trainwrecks: When Galaxies Collide”. The talk lasts about 20-25 minutes with time for questions and runs three times from 7:00-9:00pm in the ground floor classroom at the observatory. Tours of the observatory’s dome, which houses the historic 10″ refractor, will be also be given during this time. Tyler and London RASC members who will also be present are happy answer questions about the observatory, its telescopes, and any lingering questions you may have about astronomy in general.
